Nuffic TMT Program
Nuffic stands for: the Netherlands organization for international cooperation in higher education.
From July 2012 to July 2013, a NUFFIC TMT (Tailor-Made-Teaching) subsidy program is underway, focused on strengthening the educational infrastructure of two professional groups in Nicaraguan Radiology: X-ray technicians and radiology residents and radiologists.
The program is based on a locoregional teach-the-teacher program, involving Spanish speaking educational specialists from the surrounding Latin-American region, and is supported by a dedicated educational website: NICArad.com, and a dedicated Facebook account.
The first educational activities were organized September 3-7 and 17-21 for respectively radiographers and radiologists and residents. A total of 4 educational weeks for X-ray technicians and 5 educational weeks for radiologists and residents in radiology are planned.
